Welcome to your Tattoo Infection Control level 2 course. Firstly you will be introduced to the course, and we will provide you with further information as to how the course works. We will then talk about blood borne pathogens, and infection control. We will give you further information regarding infection control legislations, and finally, you will learn about the chain of infection.

In this section you will learn about the types of infection and micro-organisms. You will learn more about HIV and Aids, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. Finally, we cover skin diseases that you may come into contact with.

In this section we cover cross infection, examples of where this may take place, and how to reduce your risk. You will learn about surface cleaning, blood clean up, sterilisation and also body fluid clean up. We cover disposal procedures, and the use of gloves, hand washing, and hand gels. You will learn about injuries that may occur involving needles, and when to report an incident. Finally, you will learn about the Clean Technique and first aid.
